Thank you for your interest in my MDOT MVA-Approved Driver Education Instructor Professional Development Training. I’m excited to have you participate!
These professional development courses are designed for Maryland Driver Education Instructors who want to strengthen their teaching skills, refresh important instructional concepts, and continue growing as both classroom and behind-the-wheel instructors.
Training focuses on practical strategies that can be used every day with students while reinforcing MDOT MVA standards, safe driving practices, effective instruction, and current best practices in driver education.
Maryland Instructor Certification Renewal Requirement
Under COMAR 11.23.02.19 C(2), “Renewing an Instructor Certification,” an instructor renewing their certification must have:
“In the last 2 years satisfactorily completed a minimum of 8 hours or 4 hours each year of professional development approved by the Administration.”
Each course offered here provides 4 hours of MDOT MVA-approved Professional Development credit toward this requirement.
